The Last Post - camping.... a farm and a chocolate factory

Hello all -

It's time to say good-bye to "Mac Attic". It's time to close down this blog and move virtually as we prepare to move physically.

Enjoy this last posting and please join us on the new blog. Details coming to family and friends via email. If you don't hear from me soon and want to follow, please shoot me a message/email/comment.

sick day - Addie missed the babies from daycare
 Jake
We have to say good-bye to this sweet pup. It's so incredibly hard to imagine our lives without him. And it's very difficult to say good-bye. But we know he'll be in the best of hands with the family that is adopting him. Happy trails, sweet pup. Thank you for all the memories:
  • always bringing a shoe to anyone at the door
  • wagging that massive tail without a clue as to where it is ... or perhaps that it belongs to you
  • drool
  • dog breath
  • hair that drove me CRAZY
  • playing with the girls
  • looking at us to 'fix it' if that baby cried
  • preferring quiet - leaving the room whenever someone got too loud
  • thinking any tossed aside towel or blanket was a special gift to you
  • off-leash play
  • fast as lightning!
  • your ACL surgeries as a crazy-pup
  • pooping about a million times on one park-outing
  • slipping/sliding on uncarpeted floor
  • swimming in the ocean / water / rivers - your absolute LOVE of water
  • trying to jump off the ferry to swim
  • teething/chewing when you were a pup. EVERYTHING. there was nothing you wouldn't chew. You gnawed through an entire tire in a matter of minutes.
  • puppy kindergarten (how did you pass?)
  • picky eater (you love cheese, mac n cheese, and leftovers from babies
  • protective - laying near anyone sick or sad
  • being afraid of anything smaller than you - including squirrels and cats

A last hurrah - camping trip - up near Elizabethtown Pennsylvania. And a trip to the Hershey Chocolate World Factory while nearby (Memorial Day Weekend - next several photos)

she arranged and re-arranged these chairs for about an hour!

we got to invent our own chocolate

on the 'ride' that took us through the factory. Way cool!

real cheesy quesadilla

big girl and her pasta
since we were in farm country, among many Amish farms, we found a small family farm to explore as a break from the campground. The girls fed goats, cows, and chickens. They milked cows. Hayride. Farms are such a blast for city-kids.

got to play INSIDE the chicken coop with these fellows

Around our neighborhood...
Addie LOVES going to Peregrine coffee house with momma. She insists on sitting in a "chayw" and going at a croissant. She greets all of the customers.

She kinda loved the yard sale. Obviously. Toys everywhere!

fashionista. I dread the teenage years.

 School Days
Mom got to visit Ainsley's school as part of professional-development. Couldn't be more lucky to have the teacher she had this year. Ms. Santora is brilliant.

baking - gotta use up the ingredients!

can't remember if I've posted any of these vids yet... (forgive me, my brain is mush)
